Barahi Temple

Barahi Temple, dedicated to the Hindu goddess Barahi, is located in Devidhura, that is at a distance of 58 km from Champawat. Tourists will see giant stones within the premises of the temple, that are believed to have been used as balls by the Pandavas (the mythological kings and warriors of the great Hindu epic ‘the Mahabharata’). The Bagwal honest is held here on the day of ‘Raksha Bandhan’ every year. This honest attracts people from Nepal as well as from many destinations within the country. throughout this festival, 2 groups interact in dance, singing moreover as throwing stones at one another. every group is given a large wood defend for defense. The participants don't care regarding the injuries as a result of the religious sentiments connected. This festival has been celebrated for many decades currently, however there is no record of anyone succumbing to injuries.
