Clifftop Club Auli is a luxurious ski resort, situated in Auli, Chamoli district of Uttarakhand state. This resort gives a heavenly feeling as it is perched at an elevation of more than 10,000 ft. above sea level.Clifftop Club Auli is the second highest resort in the world and the only skiing resort in Asia which is located right on the ski slope. It is located near 8th cable car pole from Joshimath. Cliff Top Club is the only hotel situated in main Auli apart from that of GMVN. Clifftop Club also provides pick up and drop off from various locations to the resort.
Clifftop Club Auli hosted the National Winter Games and they are now prepared for the SAF Winter Games which will be held next year in Auli. A research survey by the Alpine Tourism Promotion Council has equated the slopes of Auli as the second largest in Asia and it is also considered as one of the best skiing slopes in the world.The road from Joshimath to Clifftop Club (17 km) is a steep climb from about 5000 feet to 10,000 feet above sea level. The steep gradient coupled with ice on the road makes it unfit for vehicles during winters. The road is motorable by sturdy 4-wheel vehicles up to the doorstep of the resort at other times of the year.
