On the Mandi- Pathankot road, Nurpur is an idyllic township named after Noorjahan, Jehangir's favorite Queen. Though the once grand Nurpur fort is in ruins, the fine carvings and sculptures can still be seen. Close to the fort is an ancient Krishna temple partly in ruins. The verdant unexplored surroundings and picturesque views are worth a visit.
