Medanpuri Devi -The word 'Medan' means curd and it is supposed that the Goddess showers her devotees with milk, curd. The Goddess told the head of the family the place where she would come into view and a temple devoted to the Goddess was then constructed in her honor. Unique offerings are made during the Navratras, along with a big fair on Ashtami. Though there are many Kotdwar sightseeing places but this holy place is among the major Kotdwar attractions having a lot of religious significance. It is believed that during Navratris Godess roves around the place, besitted on his lion. Importance There is a legend that in the heart of village Marora a villager found a curd-bowl.Goddess also revealed to the head of the family.
