Kainchi Dham

On arrival in Kainchi dham, visit the Neem Karoli Maharaj Ashram. Attend aarti in evening. Check in at the hotel. Overnight near Kainchi dham

Mukteshwar

Early morning attend Aarti in Kainchi dham and also visit the famous Ghorakhal temple in Bhowali and after that tea garden 3 kms from temple.After breakfast proceed to Mukteshwar. On arrival check in at the hotel.Set in the Kumaon Hills, Mukteshwar is popular tourist destination. Seek blessings at Mukteshwar Temple which is an ancient temple located in a beautiful isolated place. You can also visit the Little Church which is 75 years old and is located on the side of the hill. Visit Chauli Ki Jhali, Bhalugad waterfall.Overnight in Mukteshwar

Day 3

Jageshwar Dham

Visit the Jageshwar dham.Proceed to Jageshwar: After morning breakfast departure to Jageshwar Temple considered one of the Jyotirlingas, surrounded by Deodar forest. This temple consists of several small temples of which the is the Maha Mritunjaya Temple and the largest one is the Dandeshwara temple.Visit Chitai Temple is dedicated to Golu Devta, an incarnation of Gaur Bhairav. Situated 8kms from Almora the deity of this sacred temple is reputed to make every wish come true, provided the worshipper ask for it with a clear conscience.Proceed to Binsar.Check in at the hotel.Visit the Kasardevi temple-Kasar Devi is situated on a hilltop, on the edge of a ridge off the Almora-Bageshwar highway on the Kaashay hills of Kumaon Himalayas. As it is situated above the ridge of Almora town, it is accessible through eight-km hike from Almora or 10 km by road.Overnight in Jageshwar

Day 4

Patal Bhuvaneshwar

Transfer from Binsar / Jageshwar to Patal Bhuvaneshwar Cave-Legend and folklore have it that this cave enshrines Lord Shiva and thirty three koti demigods.The cave is 160 m long and 90 feet deep from the point of entrance.The cave is fully electrically illuminated. Built by the flow of water, Patal Bhuvaneshwar is not just one cave, rather a series of caves within caves.Visit the nearby attractions- Hat Kalika temple in Gangolihat, Kotgari temple in Pankhu, tea Garden In Chaukori.Overnight stay in Chaukori/ Patal Bhuvaneshwar.

Day 5

Kausani

Transfer from Chaukori to Kausani.On the way visit the famous Bagnath temple in Bageshwar and Baijnath Temple in Garur.On arrival check in at the hotel.Local sightseeing in Kausani covering Baijnath Temple. Baijnath Temple complex has many historic ruins. An intricate and slight carving makes the temple magnificent. Visiting Baij Nath Temple, Kausani located amidst the mountain ranges with the splendid sceneries around, can be an enchanting experience. Rudradhari Waterfall and enjoy shopping of local artifacts e.g. green tea, woollens, local herbs.Overnight in Kausani

Day 6

Ranikhet

Transfer from Kausani to Ranikhet.Visit the Haidakhan ashram : Haidakhan Babaji(Babaji) was a religious teacher who appeared near the village of Haidakhan (Uttarakhand)in northern India.It is believed that Haidakhan Babaji is a Mahavatar-"a human manifestation of God, not born from woman and he appeared" in a cave at the foot of the Kumaon Mount Kailash,Chilliyanaula (Chilianola) Ranikhet Uttarakhand. Visit KRC Museum, Golf Ground,, Chaubatia Garden-from here you can trek till the Bhalu Dam and attempt your hand at angling. You can eat at the Rani Jheel or Ashiyana Park which are pined for outing spots. Visit Jhula Devi Temple, and appreciate the nightfall at Majkhali overlooking the Himalayan pinnacles. Ranikhet is to a great degree pleasant and is a treat to the eyes.Overnight in Ranikhet

Tips for Travellers for Planning their Tour to Kainchi Dham,Uttarakhand

  • Remember that weapons and intoxicants are not allowed on ashram property.
  • Dogs and other pets are not allowed at the ashram, including the parking lots (unattended animals are also not allowed in cars due to the risk of heat stroke)
  • Do not place ointments or tilaks on Hanuman-ji, the Shiva Lingam, or any of the Murtis. This causes damage to these sacred Deities
  • Before entering the Temple or Darshan Hall:Please remove shoes and wear modest clothing,Please have clean body and clothes. If your hygiene is disruptive to others, we may ask you to leave to clean up. If you were traveling to get here and require a shower, please talk with a caretaker.
  • Please refrain from:Cell phone or computer use in the Temple, sunroom, or Darshan Hall,Picking or taking flowers from vases or from the grounds,Arguing or raising your voice,Sitting with your back or feet toward the takht (Maharaj-Ji’s bed at the front of the room) or any of the altars because this is considered inauspicious and a sign of disrespect, Loud or disruptive conversation in the sunroom is not permitted and those creating disruption may be asked to step outside or leave the grounds,Place all instruments, prayer books, and meditation cushions back when you’re done with them, and avoid placing uncovered prayer books directly on the floor.
  • Photography: Photography of of any kind is not allowed inside the ashram premises
  • Parking: We encourage people to carpool or take alternative forms of transport. If you must drive, the main ashram parking lot and designated overflow parking areas are the only available parking areas, parking on nearby streets or on adjacent properties will result in your vehicle being towed.
  • Note that it is customary to: Take prasad (sacred food presented as an offering) and the water by the Deities only with the right hand. Water and prasad distributed during aarti is also received with right hand. You are welcome to take prasad offered in the temple or sunroom.

    Why Kainchi Dham is so famous?

    This place has achieved recognition owing to the ashram of the famous Shri Neem Karoli Baba Maharajji. Thousands of people visit the temples here every day, in season.

    There is no entry fee for visiting the temple and ashram. You can come here on all days of the week including public holidays between 6:00 am to 7:00 pm in summers ( April- October) and 7:00 AM to 6.00 pm in winters ( November-March) .

    Lord Hanuman.While Kainchi Dham was set up in 1964 by Neem Karoli Baba, Shri Poornanand of the Kainchi Village along with Neem Karoli Baba built the Kainchi Dham temple to worship Lord Hanuman.

    Cost of visiting the Kianchi dham depends on no of persons, category of accomodation, pickup place , duration of stay etc. Typically the cost starts from INR 5500 per person on minimum 2 persons travelling for duration of 1 day

    Zuckerberg made the trip in 2008. The temple he visited is housed within the premises of Kainchi Ashram, 24 km from the hill town of Nainital in Uttarakhand. The ashram is dedicated to the baba whose followers believe he was a manifestation of Hanuman.

    It was founded by Neem Karoli Baba, a revered spiritual leader who was born in the early 20th century in a small village in Uttar Pradesh. Known for teachings on love, compassion, and service to others, Neem Karoli Baba was considered a living saint by his followers.

    Neem Karoli Baba, also known as Neeb Karori Baba or Maharaj-ji, was a Hindu guru and spiritual master who lived in India from 1900 to 1973. He was widely regarded as a saint and a miracle worker, and many people have reported experiencing profound spiritual awakenings and healings in his presence.

    Kainchi Dham is a small temple complex situated on the banks of the Kosi, a river in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand. The place came to limelight after Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg visited the place.

    IN 2022, in November's second week, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma visited Neem Karoli Baba's ashram, Kainchi Dham, in Nainital

    One can reach easily by taking taxi or bus from Haldwani or Kathgodam. This place is located at 17 km from Nainital at Almora road. Nearest railhead is Kathgodam which is 37 kms away from here. And nearest airport is Pantnagar Airport which is 71 kms away from here.

    Kainchi Dham organizes meditation programs and spiritual camps that are attended by devotees from all around the world. People also attend a fair, which is organized every year on June 15. Over one lakh people are fed during the fair.

    If you are wishing to stay inside Maharaji-ji's Kainchi Dham Ashram, you have to first write to the manager and request permission for your stay. Generally people are allowed to stay for a utmost of three day.

    Temple is open from 6 AM to 7 PM. Aarti timings are 7:15 in the morning and 6:45 in the evening. A temple dedicated to Hanuman ji and Neem Karori Baba.

    Taxi charges varies from INR 2200 for Wagon-R / Alto, INR 2600- Swift Dezire. INR 3500 for Innova, INR 4500 for Innova Crysta

    No direct train is available from Delhi to Kainchi Dham Temple. First, You have to catch a train from Delhi to Kathgodam railway station. You can get trains like Shatabdi Express, Ranikhet Express and Uttar Sampark Kranti Express to go to Kathgodam. Once you reach Kathgodam, you can hire a taxi or share a cab to Kainchi Dham.

    Take a flight to PantNagar airport and take a taxi from there. You can also go by train, there is only one train from Mumbai central on wednesday (MMCT KGM -09075). The other option is to take a train/flight to Delhi. There are many bus and trains from Delhi to Haldwani/Kathgodam.

    The coldest month of January experiences a temperature drop of up to -2 °C. While the climate of Kainchi Dham is hot, the declared summer months are April and June when the temperature goes up to 24°C. Usually, it stays between 14°C and 22°C. Kainchi Dham receives heavy rainfall in the months of July and September.

    Kainchi Dham to Delhi taxi fare is approx. ₹6200 onwards for a good sedan car like Etios, Dzire and is approx. ₹12800 for SUV car.

    Pantnagar airport is the nearest one can land on to reach Kainchi dham as it located some 76 kms away from the destination. One can easily get access to cabs from the airport to Kainchi dham.

    People are only allowed to stay for a maximum of three days at the ashram. How to reach Kainchi Dham? Located 18 km away in Bhowali area from Nainital city, this place is well connected by motorable roads. You can drive to the Kainchi Dham or hire a taxi cab to reach here.

    The ashram is flanked by various temples, including a Hanuman temple and the Kainchi Temple, where many foreigners come to spend time with the maharaj. A sacred cave, where Baba Neem Karoli is believed to have prayed, is also a popular attraction.

    The summers here are a splendid one, making it a pleasant time for the visitors and devotees. The winters here are extremely beautiful as you get to experience the splendid beauty of snow-covered peaks,and the coziness this offers, in temperatures below 0 degrees.

    According to the dress code put on the gates of the temples, those devotees who come wearing half pants, torn jeans, bermudas, mini-skirts, night suits will not be allowed to enter the temple. Only those who come wearing modest clothes will be allowed to enter the temple and have darshan..

    Excellent experience throughout tour. Very cooperative driver and good condition car. Also accomodation is mostly with himalayan view and our package included with dinner and breakfast.     Arranged a honeymoon tour for my brother and his wife thru all seasons tour.
