Khardang Gompa #1
The Khardang Monastery or Khardang Gompa reflects the traditional culture and art of the region. Located at an altitude of 3500m, the monastery gives a picturesque view of the natural surrounding region.
Shashur Gompa #2
Shashur Gompa monastery is dedicated to a Zanskari Lama. Chortens, bells, conventional paintings and flags make the monastery appear even more beautiful. Devil dance is performed by the colorfully dressed monks during the month of June-July.
Rohtang Tunnel #3
Rohtang Tunnel is a tunnel being built under the Rohtang Pass in the eastern Pir Panjal range of the Himalayas on the Leh-Manali Highway. With 8.8 km (5.5 mi) length, the tunnel will be one of the longest road tunnel in India (the longest road tunnel in India will be the Chenani-Nashri Tunnel or Patnitop tunnel north of Udhampur) and is expected to reduce the distance between Manali and Keylong by about 60 km (37.3 mi).
