The hill station has lush tea gardens sprawling over vast acres of land. Tea plantation was introduced in the region during the middle of the 19th century by Dr. Jameson, Superintendent Botanical Gardens, North-West Frontier Province.Due to this, Palampur progressed as tea plantation site and found a place in the international map by 1883 when 'Kangra Tea' became renowned.Chamunda Devi Temple is one of the prime religious centres, which is also counted among 51 Shakti Peethas and is located at a distance of 10 km to the west of Palampur. The shrine dedicated to Goddesses Durga or Chamunda, provides an ideal ambiance for meditation and seeking blessing of the Goddess. .

My family of 5 with 3 kids just returned from Himachal. It was a wonderful experience. There was not much hiccups. Thanks to the preparation and planning of our local guide Mr Yogesh.
