Stayed here for new years. Sattal is little isolated area and this property is just opposite to it. Lake is a minute walk from the property Rooms are very basic, little aged and comes with Balcony and lake view. What I like about this hotel is the service they were very helpful and attentive. Food was good not exceptional but very nice. They close their kitchen at 11PM so no late night service. This is what i feel an be improved. Bonfire is available every evening. Hot Water and room heaters are available. Inside parking is available as well.
Mom, dad and I wanted to plan an isolated vacation and chose sattal as the location. To top it all, we chose this hotel as our lodging for the two nights. Best decision ever. The activity room had a guitar and we played carrom while one of their guys was playing really amazing songs. Would recommend anyone coming to sattal and looking for some alone time with your family to come to Country Inn! Best decision ever.
The surroundings are the most verdant and tranquil I have ever experienced from a Hotel room. Room management and food was satisfactory. The lake is calm and not much frequented by people, it is almost like you are in a forest. You can go trekking to the nearby hills but take a local with you since wildlife is abundant in the nearby forests. We were able to spot deer in our trek. If you plan to go to Nainital daily from here , the travel can be tiring. Best to stay here for a couple of days in complete peace.
