"Its just a budgeted hotel, can't recommend for family. But yes, its very good for bachelors in group. Hotel owner is friendly and co-operative but not the hotel. Lacks basic amenities, stinking linen."

You go to this hotel for Shujat Ali Shah, the owner, a native of this place, a retired Indian army officer and a person who want to run this place much more like a home stay rather than a hotel. We reached Dehradun on a day of taxi strike, we contacted him and he send us a helpful driver within 2 hours.
The location of the hotel hill knight is very good. From here you can see beautiful sun rise and sun set. Basic need was provided like tv, geyser. Hotel staffs are also very good. I booked this hotel including food but the quality of food was very bad.
