The interiors and the exteriors just took my breath away. There were clouds below the terrace and the wind was chilly, a perfect place to start your meal with your favourite soup and to end it with your favourite tea or coffee! The cream of tomato soup was excellent, neither too sweet nor too bland, just like the way I love it! White cream pasta was excellent and extremely creamy. Chillie potato, dal makhani, mixed vegetable, shahi paneer all were very nice. Cappucino was excellent. The service was good. The staff was polite. As compared to the beautiful mountain scenery that the place offers, the price of the meal was extremely reasonable. I was not actually expecting that a meal for seven of us would cost us only around INR 2500! The ambience was extremely beautiful and romantic. And I must tell you, it is very photogenic and you can see many tourists during peak season. I specially travelled from Almora town to Kasar Devi to visit this particular cafe as I had heard a lot about it. And it was the best decision that I made. I am not disappointed. And I am very happy to visit a place like Mohan Cafe. The experience is worth the travelling.
We stopped over here for a cup of tea when we were staying in Club Mahindra Binsar. This place has amazing views. It has outdoor and indoor seating. We chose outdoor seating and had birds visiting us as we drank tea. The menu looked good with a lot of variety but to be honest we didn't try anything else as we were already full. The place has amazing ambiance and I would definitely want to visit again on an empty stomach.
There are not a lot of restaurants in Binsar area and this one stands out because of the location, the restaurant has good ambiance with options of indoor and outdoor seating options(pics attached). Its located in the premises of "Mohan's Binsar Retreat" which looked like a very decent B&B to me. We chose to order a mix of Indian food- Roti, Yellow Dal and curry as well as Italian- Chicken Pizza and Chicken Pasta. The Pizza and Pasta were definitely good but were on the pricier side. Indian food were good too and arrived much faster than the Italian food. We felt the Indian preparation was better as compared to the Pizza and Pasta. Food Quality: Good Ambiance: The best in Binsar Service: Non Intrusive slow service Good for: Family as well as Couple Overall: A must visit place when in Binsar/ people visiting Kasar Devi temple
