We loved our hotel and the location. All the tours were high-quality and we experienced no difficulties with pickups. Kangra Fort

Kangra Fort located in proximity to the destination is the major testimony of the years of yore. The fort also known as the Nagar Kot is constructed on the confluence of the Rivers; Banganga and Manjhi. There is a small courtyard enclosed between two gates to enter the fort, which is known as Patak or Ranjit Singh Gate. It also features an inscription dating back to Sikh period.
Placed on the hillock of 350 feet above sea level, the monument was built by Bhuma Chand. This fort is bordered by thick walls and high ramparts extending over 4 km, maintained by Archaeological department. The site of fort at present is known as Purana Kangra, located at a distance of 3 km from Kangra town.The narrow passage from the entrance, head towards thetop of the fort through Ahani and Amiri Darwaza. These gates were constructed by Nawab Alif Khan, the first governor of Kangra territory. Along with these, fort features polygonal watch tower and Sheet Mahal. Laxmi Narayan Temple and Adinath Temple within the fort are among the major highlights of the fort featuring earliest ruins of the fort structure.
