weather loading...Joshimath is a popular hill station and a famous centre for pilgrimage at a height of 1,890mts above sea level in Chamoli district of Garhwal division in Uttaranchal. In ancient scriptures Joshimath is described as Kartikeyapura as it has been named after Kartikeya, the God of Katyuri kings. Joshimath is one of the four maths or monasteries established in the 8th century by Adi Guru Sri Shankaracharya. The rivers Alkananda and Dhauliganga meet at the confluence of Vishnuprayag located just below Joshimath.
The best time to visit Joshimath and for the trek is from mid July till end-August. Among the important attractions of Joshimath includes a temple dedicated to Narashima, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. Some other temples are dedicated to Hanuman, Gaurishankar, Ganesha, and Naudevi and Surya.In winters, the town becomes home to Lord Badri who is brought down from Badrinath to Vasudeva temple at Joshimath. Some nearby places of excursion are Auli, one of the best skiing destinations in India and Nanda Devi National Park which is 23kms from Joshimath. You can also trek up to the exotic Valley of Flowers from Joshimath. One of the routes used for the trek is from Govindghat till a small market at Ghangaria. The climate in the town of Joshimath is cold throughout the year and one has to bring heavy protective clothing while travelling to the place. Even the summers are mildly cold in the town of Joshimath. Heavy rainfall can be expected during the monsoon season and extensive showers can be witnessed through the day. Winters are extremely chilly with temperatures touching the freezing point. Snowfall can also be expected in this area during the winter season.
This is the freezing cold season of Joshimath, when the minimum temperature stoops down to -3℃ . The winter sets in Joshimath from the month of October and lasts till February. During this time, the entire town gets swallowed by snow, rendering it a serene ambience. People, from the plains, flock to Joshimath in December, to view the first snowfall of the season. Till February, Joshimath continues to witness fresh spurts of snowfall.
The temperatures during the summer season are mild and they can rise up to a maximum of around 34℃. However the average day temperatures are usually in the mid twenties for the most part. The months of April, May and June form the summer season.
The winter season starts in December and ends in the month of February. Temperatures can drop down to around 0℃ during the winter months and snowfall can be seen from the month of December. The temperatures rarely exceed 8℃ during the winter months.
The monsoon season is from July to September. The place receives rainfall from the South West Monsoon and travelling during this time is difficult. Conditions can be cold during the nights as well.

Sir Hotel at Chopta is very difficult for senior citizens to climb.One more suggestion if possible provide accommodation to drivers.Otherwise the tour was ok. Driver was polite and expirenced.Arihant Hotel at Haridwar was very good.I wish to continue travelling with your company.

Sir I have an honest feedback that the Nainital hotel was not at all good we had multiple issues .
Our trip was wonderful beyond our expectations. The driver was great and timely placed on our schedule, with exceptional vibes in Babaji Caves. The hotels B&Bs were all excellent locations with the top city attractions nearby in each case. From Arriving to departing everything was great.

Arranged a honeymoon tour for my brother and his wife thru all seasons tour. I must say Mr Rahule the travel expert was very cooperative and patient in discussing the intricate travel arrangements with me. The hotels and rooms provided were quite good and clean. The driver was very cooperative and the vehicle was in excellent condition. Overall a very good experience and strongly recommend them.

Had a good trip with family. The cab driver was polite throughout. But we faced a few issues: the hotel was under construction, breakfast and dinner options were limited compared to a buffet, and room cleanliness was a problem.All Seasons staff Shivam was courteous and arranged alternate hotel nearby which was good
