Dunagiri Glacier is one of the important glacier of Dhauli Ganga system of glaciers, where more than 500 glaciers, The magical land of Uttarakhand in India is a treasure house of natural splendor and divine beauty.
Words fail to describe the charisma and enchanting beauty of this north Indian state, replete with magnificent glaciers, snow-capped mountains, gigantic peaks, enchanting valleys, skiing slopes and dense forests. There are innumerable tourist destinations in Uttarakhand and the Glaciers are among the major attractions of the region. Dunagiri Glacier is one of the important glaciers in Uttarakhand.
A major glacier of the Dhauli Ganga system of glaciers, Dunagiri Glacier is largely frequented by tourists and adventure enthusiasts visiting Uttarakhand. The Dhauli Ganga system comprises more than 500 glaciers of different shapes and sizes, flowing through the deep and narrow valleys. Some of the other important glaciers here include the Changbang, Girthi Hoti and Niti glaciers.
Dunagiri Glacier in Uttarakhand runs for 5.5.km, extending between elevations of 5150 m at its head, to 4240 m at its snout, which is the terminal point of the glacier. A stream originates from this glacier and merges into Dhauli Ganga near the Juma village.
Dunagiri Glacier, Uttarakhand can be accessed from Juma, on the way to Joshimath-Malari road. The Dunagiri village lies at a distance of about 8 km from Juma, and from the village, a 12 km long foot-trek path runs along the Dunagiri stream, to reach the snout of the glacier. While on trip to Dunagiri, you can also visit the Bagini Glacier lying in the same valley. Dunagiri is the last village in the valley.
There is a decent place for camping in the vicinity of the Dunagiri glacier. The best time to visit the glacier is from the middle of May to the middle of October.
How to Reach
By Air :– Dungaree lies in Almora district of Uttarakhand. The nearest airport is at Jollygrant, about 221 km.
By Rail :– The nearest railhead is at Kathgodam (90km).
By Road :– The region is well-connected by roads with other places in Uttarakhand.
Sir Hotel at Chopta is very difficult for senior citizens to climb.One more suggestion if possible provide accommodation to drivers.Otherwise the tour was ok. Driver was polite and expirenced.Arihant Hotel at Haridwar was very good.I wish to continue travelling with your company.

Sir I have an honest feedback that the Nainital hotel was not at all good we had multiple issues .
Our trip was wonderful beyond our expectations. The driver was great and timely placed on our schedule, with exceptional vibes in Babaji Caves. The hotels B&Bs were all excellent locations with the top city attractions nearby in each case. From Arriving to departing everything was great.

Arranged a honeymoon tour for my brother and his wife thru all seasons tour. I must say Mr Rahule the travel expert was very cooperative and patient in discussing the intricate travel arrangements with me. The hotels and rooms provided were quite good and clean. The driver was very cooperative and the vehicle was in excellent condition. Overall a very good experience and strongly recommend them.

Me and my friend has completed 5 days/ 4 nights trip to Jageshwar. It was a very nice trip properly organised. Hotels and taxi service was excellent. Though I booked a budget tour but services were of standard class.😊
Had a good trip with family. The cab driver was polite throughout. But we faced a few issues: the hotel was under construction, breakfast and dinner options were limited compared to a buffet, and room cleanliness was a problem.All Seasons staff Shivam was courteous and arranged alternate hotel nearby which was good
