Expecting to promote cultural tourism, the Uttarakhand government will soon launch special bus services for tourists to appreciate lively Pahari folk arts and traditions and places of cultural attractions including castles, sanctuaries and archeological destinations dotting the pleasant Himalayan landscape.
"Under the plan, a bus service will be presented in all the 13 districts in the state. These transports will ship visitors to the sanctuaries, forts and heritage sites spotting the locale," tourism minister Satpal Maharaj said.
"The Local youth, who will be trained as guides , will likewise inform the tourists not only regarding those destinations as well as about various old stories related with them," he said.
"Amid their visits to those spots, they will also be exposed to the nearby culinary customs as they will be offered the Kumaoni and Garhwali foods known for their particular taste."
Tourists, Maharaj stated, would have a lot to enjoy amid their transport rides as the region "proliferates" in spots of cultural interests.
"Similarly captivating they will discover the old stories about those spots, which aides will impart to the guests in realistic points of interest," he said.
As indicated by him, they would discover those accounts about those spots of intrigue and archaeological destinations all the more interesting as truly nothing is thought about them outside the state.
Referring in that connection to the ancient cave paintings of Lakhudiayar near Almora he said the heritage site is some 5,000 years old.
Guests would love to visit such an entrancing spot as very little is thought about it. So was the situation with various Ashrams and Akharas in the holy place town of Haridwar, which "are run" by various orders of Sadhus and Sants.
Correspondingly, it would be a disclosure for them to realize that the Garba society move of Gujarat had its inception in Uttarakhand.
Citing from a legend he said Usha, the little girl of Banasur, who had a place with the mountain state persuasively wedded Lord Krishna's grandson Anirundh as he was to a great degree gorgeous. Anirudh had a place with Dwarka, the cutting edge port town of Gujarat.
"The legend has it that later Usha went by her in-laws put (Dwarka). Once at a function, she gave a unique dance performance… When people queried about it she said it was because she was pregnant" Maharaj said.
"Being pregnant signifies 'Garbha' in Hindi, of which 'Garba' is a mutilated frame, after which the Garba folk dance of Gujarat was named," he said. "Regardless we have a sanctuary of Anirundh in Lamgadi in Garhwal."
Voyagers, Maharaj stated, might want to visit a place in Garhwal where "it is trusted that aancharis (fairies) still gather and dance".
Likewise, transports would "likewise be fitted" with a sound system through which visitors would be clarified in detail about the spots they would visit amid their transport rides to various zones in the state.
