We loved our hotel and the location. All the tours were high-quality and we experienced no difficulties with pickups. The largest lake of the Bhowali region, this one takes its name from the Mahabharata legend and the famous Pandava, Bhima. Just 22 km from Bhowali, this lake is the only natural one to have an island at its centre. The old Bhimeshwara temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, takes its name from the Bhima legend that surrounds this town. Enjoy the serene experience of boating at Bhimtal. You can also enjoy some mouth watering momos and other delicacies at the local eateries which are situated on the banks of Bhimtal Lake.

Hanuman Garhi

The ancient temple in Bhowali was frequently visited by Neem Karoli Baba, the local saint. Hanumangarhi has a life size idol of Lord Hanuman, who is also known as Maruti. The statue is so big that it is visible even from outside. On the day of Ramnavmi and other important festivals, devotees flock this temple to offer their prayers and take part in the celebrations. If you are planning to visit Hanumangarhi, make sure you are appropriately dressed as there are some rules which you need to follow. Surrounded by beautiful spectacles of nature, you can also treat yourself to some amazing views of the sunset and sunrise from the temple premises.

Nanda devi Temple

Naina is synonymous with Sati's eyes. Since then, devotees started visiting this temple. Once the devotee reaches the hill top, prasad can be bought from any of the various shops or it can also one's own offerings from home. After crossing the main gate, there is a big Peepal tree on the left side. On the right side of the temple there are idols of Lord Hanuman Ji and Ganesh Ji. After reaching the main entrance of the temple, there are two statues of lions.
