In 1906, it was reestablished as the Imperial Forest Research Institute, under the British Imperial Forestry Service. The Indian Forest College was established in 1938; officers recruited to the Superior Forest Service by the states and provinces were trained there.Established as Imperial Forest Research Institute in 1906, Forest Research Institute (FRI) Dehradun, is a premier institution under the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education (ICFRE). Styled in Greeko Roman Architecture by C.G. Blomfield, the main building is a National Heritage which was inaugurated in 1929. FRI Dehradun is one of the oldest institutions of its kind and acclaimed the world over. The institute has a developed infrastructure of all equipped laboratories, library, herbarium, arboreta, printing press and experimental field areas for conducting forestry research, quite in keeping with the best of its kind anywhere in the world. It is 7 km from Clock Tower, on the Dehradun-Chakrata motorable road and is of the biggest forest based training institute in India. Most of the forest officers are a part of this institute. The FRI's building also houses a Botanical Museum

This travel agency put together an amazing itinerary for a week in Uttarakhand for our family. We planned this trip without a lot of lead time and our travel agency was quick to respond and made sure our needs, and the needs of our 2 year-old were taken care of. They booked wonderful centrally located boutique hotels in each of the cities we visited. We were looking for a relaxing week to explore Uttarakhand, and that is exactly what we had..

The trip was magnificent and memorable. This travel agency was thorough, flexible, and accommodating. Mr. Vijay offered personalized service and was available even at the oddest hours. He made arrangements at the last minute to get us where we needed to be when our travels were complicated by delayed flights. .

We had an unbelievable time in Uttarakhand this winter. Allseasonsz travel agency provided us with excellent hotels, located in the center of the cities, comfortable, and close to the main sights and trendy restaurants. The guides and drivers for our private tours were phenomenal - very knowledgable and well spoken. We have a family of 6, so they arranged transportation for us in a private van, which was beyond convenient! Lastly, they added stops to our itinerary, that I myself would not have chosen. But those spots ended up being some of our favorite places to see! Our travel agency was also extremely flexible in working with us - they respected our desire to have some downtime with the family, as well as making reservations for us at wonderful restaurants!
