  • The trip was fabulous. Shimla is an amazing place with lots to see and do. Our tour operator was excellent. All of their suggestions and recommendations were solid. We loved our hotel and the location. All the tours were high-quality and we experienced no difficulties with pickups. Mr. Nitin was extremely pleasant to work with and truly wanted us to have a fabulous time.

  • We cannot recommend this travel company enough! My husband and I had been wanting to go to India for quite some time but had not done so due to lack of time to plan a worthwhile trip. Booking with this company was exactly what we needed--we told them the types of places and sites we wanted to see and they took care of the rest.

  • I got exactly the vacation I wanted for almost no work and probably cheaper than I could have done it myself. I told this travel company what I wanted and they just did the rest. The hotels and tours/activities were great! Couldn't have asked for more. Great service too they were very responsive and helpful!

Guru Ram Rai Gurudwara

Ram Rai Gurudwara in Dehradun is of great reverence to the Sikhs for it's believed to be the place where Shri Guru Ram Rai set up his camp in 1676. The gurudwara and the surrounding structure as it stands today was built in 1707. The walls of the gurudwara are carved with flowers and motifs, while paintings of religious figures of almost all the religions hang there. There's a pond in the compound that measures 200 x 80 feet and brims with water where devotees usually come for a dip. A major attraction of the place is the community kitchen where around 1000 people take food everyday. Established by the seventh Sikh Guru, Ram Rai in the seventeenth century, the Ram Rai Gurudwara is one among the oldest in Dehradun. The Gurudwara is a famous place of pilgrimage and is visited by many devotees regularly. It is believed that after Guru Ram Rai was banished from his native place he came and settled in Dehradun and built a Gurudwara in the city. The Gurudwara contains the Adi Granth Sahib, the holy books of Sikhs and has a large dining hall where free meals cooked in the Gurudwara’s community kitchen are served free to everyone. This Gurudwara is also the centre of the Jhanda Festival which is held five days after holi every year.
