Weather / Climate in Didihat

Didihat is a deep Himalayan tourist destination situated 54 km from didihat. The small hilly town is full of pure natural beauty with lush green flora at an altitude of 1725 m. Didihat is situated on the hill top plain of 'Digtarh' and river Charamgad or Bhadigad streaming below. Below the town there is a fertile 'Haat valley'. In Didihat the famous temple (mandir) is known as Sirakot (Malaynath Mandir) of Lord Shiva (Bholenath). The another famous mandir is situated in the top hill of the nanpaupu village is well known as dechula.

Summers :

(April to June) are very pleasant with moderate climate and the temperature ranges from 7-20℃. Summers are ideal for all sight seeing, temple visit and also for visiting nearby attractions.

Monsoons :

(August to November) are accompanied with light showers. The days are pleasant and the nights are chilly.

Winters:

(December to March) are chilly days with average minimum touching near 4℃, with maximum never crossing 8℃. Typically tourists avoid this season. The winters are accompanied with heavy snowfalls.

The best season to visit Didihat is from April to November:

April to August offers cool and pleasant climate and the right period to spend relaxing moments in the outdoors and is ideal for temple visits.

September to November is good for sight seeing and this season is eye catching with beautiful sceneries.

December to March is chilly. Those who like snowbound vacations can opt for this season. Heavy woolen clothes are required for outings in this period. Weather didihat India: Being situated in a valley, didihat is relatively warm during summer and cool during winters. During the coldest months of December - January, the temperature ranges between 4 and 8 degrees Celsius. didihat district has an extreme variation in temperature due to the variation in the altitude. The temperature starts rising from mid March until mid June. However, the areas which are located above 3,500 m remain covered in snow throughout the year. The regions lying between 3,000 to 3,500 metres become snow bound for four to six months. As far as monsoon is concerned, the annual average rainfall is 36.7 cm. After June the district receives Monsoon showers.
