The trip was fabulous. Shimla is an amazing place with lots to see and do. Our tour operator was excellent. All of their suggestions and recommendations were solid. We loved our hotel and the location. All the tours were high-quality and we experienced no difficulties with pickups. Mr. Nitin was extremely pleasant to work with and truly wanted us to have a fabulous time.

Dainkund Peak

Dainkund Hill is the highest mountain in Dalhousie with the peak resting at an altitude of 2745 m. It lies at a distance of 10 kms. from the town and a trek to the peak is one of the most popular tourist activities in Dalhousie. Its name - meaning Witch's Pond - is based on the old villagers' belief that witches used to haunt this mountain.

St. John's Church

St. John's Church is the oldest church in Dalhousie. Built in the early 19th century by Protestant missionaries, it looms large over the Gandhi Chowk area of the town and is hard to miss. Set against the backdrop of the Dhauladhar range

Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary

Kalatop, a hilltop dedicated to Lord Shiva, boasts of a grand view of the Pir Panjal Range. The hilltop falls in the Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary, whose altitude varies between 1,460-2,750 m. The sanctuary was notified in the 1970s to protect what was once a gaming reserve of the Chamba royals.

Moti Tibba

Tibba is a flat tableland located 330 m above the GPO or Gandhi Chowk in Dalhousie. It lies amid a thick forest of fir, pine, rhododendron and oak trees and is favoured by tourists for a leisurely morning or evening stroll. You can get some splendid views of the Pir-Panjal

St. Patrick's Church

St. Patrick's Church is an old Catholic church built in 1909 under the aegis of the British-Indian army. It is located in Baloon in the Dalhousie Cantonment area, about 2 kms. from the main bus stand of Dalhousie town. Managed by the Catholic Diocese of Jalandhar like the St. Francis Church,

Satdhara Falls

The Satdhara Falls are located at an altitude of 2036 m., about 2.5 kms. from Gandhi Chowk on the way to Panchpula. You can easily walk from the town to the place where the falls are located. The waterfall has derived its name from the seven natural springs which fall together from a ridge along the mountain.

Subhash Baoli

Subhash Baoli is a concrete structure located at an elevated spot just 1 km. from the town centre of Dalhousie. It is named after the great Indian freedom fighter Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. He had visited Dalhousie in 1937 and spent hours meditating at this place.
