An ancient town of Baijnath, located around 20 kms from Kausani is a place adorned with several small and big temples each holding a historic and religious importance. Once served as the capital of Katyuri Dynasty, the Baijnath Temple was constructed during the 12th century and as per the legend Lord Shiva and Parvati were married here at the confluence of River Garur Ganga and River Gomti. Other temples present here are Brahma, Shiva, Parvati, Ganesh, Kuber and Surya Temple etc. Another temple located 3 kms from town namely Kote-ke-mai Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu has a large statue of him.

Planets Show provides tourists with a view of the stars apart from the clouds and mist. A planetarium-cum-internet cafe, it is run by an astronomy enthusiast in Kausani. When clear night sky is available, stargazing is an option for the tourists. For stargazing, the planetarium is outfitted with varieties of telescope. Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary situated at varying altitude of 900 to 2500 meters was established in 1988 is 33.5Km from Almora and lies in Bageshwar district consisting of thick forest of oak, rhododendron and cheer pine. The sanctuary was established to conserve and protect the shrinking broad leaf oak. Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary gets its name from Binsar Mahadev temple devoted to lord Shiva built around 9-10th century. It is said that the temple was built in a single day. At an altitude of 2480 meters above sea level, Binsar Mahadev is believed to fulfill the desire of child and female devotees light lamp on their palm here on the day of Vaikunth Chaturdashi.

This travel agency put together an amazing itinerary for a week in Uttarakhand for our family. We planned this trip without a lot of lead time and our travel agency was quick to respond and made sure our needs, and the needs of our 2 year-old were taken care of. We had an unbelievable time in Uttarakhand this winter. Allseasonsz travel agency provided us with excellent hotels, located in the center of the cities, comfortable, and close to the main sights and trendy restaurants. The guides and drivers for our private tours were phenomenal - very knowledgable and well spoken. We have a family of 6, so they arranged transportation for us in a private van, which was beyond convenient! Lastly, they added stops to our itinerary, that I myself would not have chosen. But those spots ended up being some of our favorite places to see! Our travel agency was also extremely flexible in working with us - they respected our desire to have some downtime with the family, as well as making reservations for us at wonderful restaurants!
