Haridwar

Haridwar is often mentioned in ancient scriptures and even referred during the British times. With Ujjain, Nasik and Allahabad, Haridwar forms the four important pilgrimage centres of India where Kumbh Mela is celebrated here after every 3 years rotated over these 4 destinations.

Rishikesh

Roorkee

Roorkee is a city in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Dhanaulti is a hill station 24 km (15 mi) from the popular hill station of Mussoorie, and 29 km (18 mi) from Chamba, as it is situated between the two.It is situated at an altitude of 2286m, and is known for its quiet environs amidst the alpine forests of Deodar, Rhododendron and Oak.Dhanaulti, a coveted tourist destination, attracts tourists, pilgrims and amateurs all alike. Besides, the abundance of leechi, Basmati rice, and tea; the charismatic hills, scintillating rivers, romantic valleys, and marvelous hill-resorts also contribute towards making Dhanaulti. .

Kanatal

Kanatal is a city in Uttarakhand, 78 km ahead of Dehradun (Capital of State Uttarakhand), 38 km ahead of Mussoorie which is also known as the Queen of Hills & 12 km from Chamba. Kanatal is a hamlet built around numerous hills, a locale which personifies the romantic aura of Tehri District, Uttarakhand, State. Located on the Chamba-Mussoorie highway.

Badrinath

Mussoorie

Mussoorie, a picturesque hill station in the Northern part of India, was discovered in the 18th century by Captain Young. The British officials added to the popularity of this hill station, as they mostly visited it as a getaway from the heat during summer. Mussoorie is located at an altitude of 2000 meters above sea level, on ahorseshoe shaped ridge. This altitude gives the destination cool and pleasant climate conditions.

Lansdowne

The charming hill station of Lansdowne is also the quietest hill station of India.Lansdowne became popular since Britishers came to India and shifted a part of thecantonment board to Lansdowne from Almora in Uttarakhand (earlier Uttaranchal).Lansdowne hill station is situated at an altitude of 1,706mts above sea level in Uttarakhand India.

New Tehri

New Tehri is the only planned hill township of Uttarakhand which was made during the construction of the Tehri dam. Every month thousands of tourists visit Tehri to see the stagnant water of the massive Tehri Dam. The Dam is situated amidst high mountains many of which are submerged under water. New Tehri is very well connected with motorable roads. Tehri is situated 69kms from Mussoorie. There are many good hotels in New Tehri.

Gangotri

Gangotri is the highest temple of Goddess Ganga and one of the four dhams of Uttarakhand state. Gangotri is situated at an elevation of 3,048mts above sea level at a distance of 21kms from Harsil. Gangotri offers scenic splendors of rugged terrains, gushing water of Bhagirathi River and snow laden Himalayas..

Hemkund Sahib

Hemkund Sahib is situated at an altitude of 4,329 mts above sea level in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand state. Hemkund literally suggests lake of snow and the pristine water of this lake is as cold as snow. Numerous waterfalls, dense forest, enchanting view of the Himalayas, crystal clear lake and the holy Hemkund Sahib are the key highlights of this trekking trip. The weather changes very rapidly at Hemkund Sahib.

Chakrata

Chakrata is a small town situated in the Dehradun district of the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is a cantonment town which was initially a cantonment of the British Army. Located at an elevation of 2,118 meters, this town is at a distance of 98 kilometres from the state capital, Dehradun. It is located between the Yamuna and Tons rivers. The area of Chakrata town belongs to Jaunsari tribe who inhabit the region.

  • Tapkeshwar Mahadev at distance of 6 Kms from city.The beautiful temple of lord Shiva established in between the two hills and adventurers go to see the water drops dripping in the Shiva ling in Drona cave.
  • Robber's Cave which is also known as Guchchu Pani, that is located at a distance of 8 kms from the city center.This is a beautiful picnic spot and here you can experience a strange nature's phenomena; a stream of water goes underground here and reappears a few metres away.
  • Shehasdhara-which is the cold Sulphur water spring believed to have exceptional medicinal value.You should also check out the dripping caves and also take a bath in the Baldi River near the spring. Visit to F.R.I Museum.Overnight at Hotel.
  • FRI Museum-The Forest Research Institute (FRI) is an institute of the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education and is a premier institution in the field of forestry research in Indiaand biggest forest based training institute in India. Built over a lush green estate spread over 450 hectares, with the outer Himalaya forming its back drop, the institute’s main building is an impressive edifice.The building was listed for a time, in the Guinness Book of Records, as the largest purely brick structure in the world.

  • Day 2 Visit to Gurkha Fort which is located in the Tapovan Forest Area which is again another highlight attraction as this is the same place where according to legend, Guru Dronacharya had done penance. check out The Museum and The Kalinga War Memorial which is located on Sahastradhara Road which is the only war memorial of its kind in the world which was erected by the British to honour their foe, the Gurkhas.checking out the various temples and monasteries viz; Mindrolling Monastery which is a large Buddhist monastery in the Tibetan Nyingma tradition, Ram Rai Darbar - which is a Gurudwara built by Guru Har Rai's son,Sai Darbar Temple and The Char Siddhs, that comprises a group of four temples around Dehradun : Lakshman Siddh (along the Dehradun-Rishikesh road 12 km from Dehradun), Kalu Siddh (near Baniyawala), Manak Siddh (near Shimla Bypass Road) and Madu Siddh (near Premnagar). These are small temples that are located in scenic and unspoilt locales of Dehradun. It is commonly believed that visitng all four Siddhs in a single day will fulfill a devotee's wishes, and hard to cover.

Must see places here are Lal Tibba, Gun Hill, Municipal Garden, Kempty fall. Lal Tibba : This is regarded as the highest point in Mussoorie situated in area called “Landour”. Which is know to be the oldest inhabited place of Mussoorie Gun Hill : Gun hiil is the second highest point in Mussoorie.it is also known as picnic spot for the locals.From this points,Mussoorie appears to be changing colors in every minute.It looks amazing from here. Municipal Garden : This is also known as Botanical Gardens of Mussoorie were established by geologist Dr. H.Fackner in the last century.. Kempty Fall : Kempty fall is just 12 kms down from Mussoorie on Mussoorie - Dehradun midway ,the beautifull falls were declared as a tourist destination by John Mekinan after after 1835.The name Kempty is derived from 'Camp - tea', as the Britishers would organise their tea parties here. Past Kempty Fall, 12 - km downhill.
