Pithoragarht Fort
Pithoragarht Fort was built during the reign of the Chand kings and was reconstructed by the Gorkhas in 1789. The fort is located on a hilltop near the outskirts of the Didihat town. Even though the fort today is in ruins and most structures are in a dilapidated condition the location offers some scenic views of the surrounding valley.Pithoragarht Fort is a fort in Didihat in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It was built during Chand period by regional ruler Peeru Alias Prithwi Gusain.

Uttarakhand receives season’s heaviest snowfall on Tuesday, 22 January 2019. Nainital, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Yamunotri got substantial snowfall; Mussoorie got almost half-feet snow, while Dhanaulti is secured with snow since Monday night. The higher reaches of Char Dham districts experienced heavy snowfall following which Yamunotri and Gangotri national highways were blocked.
