  • The trip was fabulous. Shimla is an amazing place with lots to see and do. Our tour operator was excellent. All of their suggestions and recommendations were solid. We loved our hotel and the location. All the tours were high-quality and we experienced no difficulties with pickups. Govind Ghat

Govindghat, located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand is beautifully situated at the convergence of the Rivers Alaknanda and Lakshman Ganga. It is located at a distance of just 22 Kms from Joshimath on National Highway 58. Govindghat travel guide is full of references to the exciting sceneries and serene spots in and around the area. It is widely famous for the Gurudwara Hemkund Sahib and the Valley of Flowers. Thousands of Sikh pilgrims visit the pious Hemkund Sahib round the year. The Gurudwara is situated on the right side of the majestic River Alaknanda.

Nanda Devi National Park

One of the most serene and tranquil of national parks in the country, the Nanda Devi National Park in Uttarakhand is a paradise for nature lovers and those who seek to immerse themselves in the beauty of nature. Covering an area of more than 630 square kilometers, the Nanda Devi park, when combined with the Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve, is 2,236 square kilometers. Notified as a national park in 1982, Nanda Devi National Park covers the area around the Nanda Devi Peak which is 7,817 meters high.The adjoining Valley of Flowers National Park and this park were recognized as World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1988.

Narsingh Temple

There are also numerous temples in Joshimath. The most famous are Narsingh temple. It is written in Rajatarangani that the temple of Narsingh was established in eighth century AD by King Lalitaditya Yukta Pida during his digvijayayatra. The statue of Lord Narsinghis finely carved of Shaligram and interestingly, one of the arms is thin as a needle. It is believed that the day this fine arm of the statue breaks in kalyug, the mountains of Jaya and Vijaya at Vishnuprayag will collapse and close the way to Sri Govindghat.

Trishul Peak

Located at an elevation of around 23,490 feet above sea level, Trishul Peak is the kind of natural marvel that leaves you enamoured and fumbling for your camera. It is one of the most famous spots to enjoy skiing in Govindghat. There is also a lake named, Roopkund, situated at the base of Trishul Peak. Roopkund Lake is known for its mysterious background as around 600 skeletal remains of humans and horses were discovered here.

Valley of Flowers

Stretching over an expanse of 87.50 sq. kms. the valley is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and carpeted with some 500 rare species of flowers. Frank S. Smythe – mountaineer, explorer, botanist who camped here for several weeks in the monsoon of 1937 and did valuable exploratory work, introduced the valley to the world as the valley of Flowers.

The panoramic view in Govindghatcan be astonishing as it is surrounded by very high peaks including Nanda Devi (7817 m). There is also a Hanuman Temple which is supposed to be the place where Hanuman took some rest when he had come to the Himalayas to procure Sanjivani to rescue Laxman, the younger brother of Rama. Visitors can also enjoy a cable car here which can give them a beautiful view of the surroundings. There is an artificial lake as well in Govindghatwhich is the world's highest man-made lake.

Govindghatis an ideal winter resort run by Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam (GMVN). Govindghatis in the Chamoli district of Uttaranchal, Uttar Pradesh.Govindghat, 16 km from Joshimath is an ideal winter resort run by Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam (GMVN). A 3 km long slope ranging from a height of 2519 to 3049 m is a major attraction. The Govindghatresort run by GMVN has snow beaters which beat the snow to keep the slopes fit for skiing at all times. A 500 m long ski-lift carries skiiers back to the slope top, thus saving them the trouble and time to bridge up wearing long skis.

We really appreciated the advice our travel agent provided prior to finalizing our trip itinerary and then the detailed planning on his part to put it all together. Everyone who was to meet with us did. Everyone was very helpful, especially the guides whose knowledge of their area was phenomenal. Tasting local food and refreshments and the accommodations in small interesting hotels is the most enjoyable and memorable part of the trip.

Amazing...

This travel agency put together an amazing itinerary for a week in Uttarakhand for our family. We planned this trip without a lot of lead time and our travel agency was quick to respond and made sure our needs, and the needs of our 2 year-old were taken care of. Perfect Trip

We had an unbelievable time in Uttarakhand this winter. Allseasonsz travel agency provided us with excellent hotels, located in the center of the cities, comfortable, and close to the main sights and trendy restaurants. The guides and drivers for our private tours were phenomenal - very knowledgable and well spoken. We have a family of 6, so they arranged transportation for us in a private van, which was beyond convenient! Lastly, they added stops to our itinerary, that I myself would not have chosen. But those spots ended up being some of our favorite places to see! Our travel agency was also extremely flexible in working with us - they respected our desire to have some downtime with the family, as well as making reservations for us at wonderful restaurants!
