Surrounded with gigantic and ecstatic peaks, valley of flowers, skiing slopes and dense forests, beautiful flora and fauna Ramak is situated at a distance of about 75 kms from Champawat. This village is famous for its Aditya temple, which is a temple of god Sun. It is sun temple like Kornarka in Orissa. This temple is very ancient heritage and it is said that Chand Raja has established this temple.

Baleshwar is the most artistic temple of the district. There are evidences to the effect that the group of temples dedicated to Baleshwar, Ratneshwar and Champawati Durga had been built by the early kings of the Chand dynasty. The temple once had intricate structural features and a sanctuary with a 'mandap'. The intricate carvings still visible on the ceilings of these temples are an evidence of their ancient glory and artistic excellence.

Barahi Temple is situated in Devidhura, which is around 58 km from Champawat and is dedicated to Goddess Barahi. This temple also has huge stones that are believed to be used by Pandavas as balls to play games. Bagwal Fair is an annual fair organised at this temple, on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan. Barahi one of the Matrikas, a group of seven or eight mother goddesses in the Hindu religion.

Chaumu Temple is located in Pancheshwar and is known for an old idol of Lord Shiva, who is considered to be the protector of animals. Devotees coming here to this temple offer milk and bells to the main deity. An annual Uttarayani Mela, during Makar Sankranti is also celebrated at a grand level at this temple. Chaumu Jaat yatra is also organised here that reflects the culture of the region.

A deity of widespread faith and influence, Gwal Devta also known as Goril or Goll, is considered to be the presiding deity of justice. It is believed that when approached, Gwal Devta dispenses justice to a helpless victim of injustice and cruelty. Historically, Goril a Katyuric prince of Champawat, known for his unwavering justice and fair play, was himself a victim of planned conspiracy hatched up by his step mother, who had him thrown into a river, locked up in an iron cage.

Kranteshwar Mahadev Temple is located on a hill top, which lies to the east of the Champawat town in the state of Uttarakhand. This temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is popularly called as Kandev and Kurmapad by the local inhabitants. The temple is situated about 6 km from the main town and has a height of 6000 m above the sea level.

Nagnath Temple is one of the oldest shrines in the Champawat District, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva. There is a double storey wooden structure along with a carved doorway at this temple, which represents the traditional Kumaoni architectural style. In 18th century, the temple was partially destroyed by the Gorkha and Rohilla invaders, but now the temple is in a better condition than earlier.

Pancheshwar is situated at a distance of 40 km from Lohaghat, near the confluence of Saryu and Kali Rivers. This place shares its border with Nepal and is known for its Chaumu Temple, where local inhabitants worship the Jaat of Chaumu. It is believed that Lord Shiva used to meditate at this peaceful cave. Many rishis and yogis meditated in this cave to acquire salvation. Patal Rudreshwar was discovered in the year 1993 when Goddess Durga appeared in the dream of a local boy and told him about the location of Patal Rudreshwar. The cave has a length of approximately 40 mts and width of 18mts.

Purnagiri Temple is dedicated to Goddess Purnagiri and is amongst the 51 'Shakti Peethas', located about 92 km from Champawat district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. It is one of the most famous temples of Kumaon. Thousands of pilgrims visit the shrine during the period April to June. A distance of 3 kms has to be trekked from Tunyas.

Gurdwara Reetha Sahib is only 60 kms. by flying distance north of Nanak Mata, but the distance by motorable road is 209 kms. It is 166 kms. from Tanakpur, the last railway station on Bareilly-Tanakpur section. Here, too, Guru Nanak Dev had an encounter with Nath yogis whom he tried to bring to the path of active humanitarian service along with remembrance of God's Name.

Mayawati Ashram, also called the Advaita Ashram, is found at a distance of 22km from Champawat. it's perched at an elevation of 1940 m higher than sea level and attracts a large numbers of tourists from India and abroad.
