Champavati Temple
This sanctuary is situated behind the City Police Post and Treasury building. The sanctuary of goddess Champavati is shikhara style. This sanctuary is after the name of Champavati, girl of King Sahil Verman who assembled this sanctuary in her memory. It is said that Champavati affected her dad to set-up the Chamba city, at the present area. This sanctuary is built in Shikara style, with wheel rooftop and stone bending. To the extent the span of the sanctuary goes, it can contrast and the celebrated Laxmi Narayan Temple.
The ruler, in the wake of getting suspicious of her activities, once tailed her to a sadhu's place, with a blade in his shroud. When he achieved the ashram, he found that there was nobody inside. Shockingly, both the sadhu and his little girl Champavati had vanished. When he was going to return, he heard a voice saying that his little girl had been taken away as a discipline of his suspicion. The voice likewise requesting that he manufacture a sanctuary, on the name of his girl Champavati, on the off chance that he needed to keep away from further familial disasters.
