NAINITAL: Three-day Nainital Winter Carnival begines in the lake city on 16 Dec, 17 Friday. The third year of Nainital Winter Carnival has a number of activities like bird watching, heritage trails and cultural performances lined up to make the event attractive. The hill station saw a number of visitors thronging the lake town to take part in the cultural activities, photography competitions and events such as adventure sports.
Various programmes gave a glimpse of upcoming kaleidoscopic events. Choliya dance, army band, vigyan fair and various other dance forms were presented on the occasion.
Another major attraction of the carnival will be Naini Photo Fest-2017. The landscape of Kumaon, which is often termed as Switzerland of India by many, provides enough opportunities for photography.

Uttarakhand High Court seeks one-way traffic plan to tackle Nainital Jams

Hearing a PIL filed by Dr Ajay Singh Rawat regarding traffic problems in Nainital, the Uttarakhand high court ordered the district administration and police to form a plan which will allow one-way traffic on several routes of the town to tackle traffic jams.
To ease traffic congestion, the HC added that carrier vehicles should be allowed to transport goods from 9pm to 5am and not the entire day.
Nainital senior superitendent of police, Mr Janmejay Khanduri, said, "We will abide by the court's order and do whatever is necessary to deal with traffic congestion in Nainital. Various measures are already in place and we will devise more according to the high court's directions.".

Me and my friend has completed 5 days/ 4 nights trip to Jageshwar. It was a very nice trip properly organised. Hotels and taxi service was excellent. Though I booked a budget tour but services were of standard class.😊
Had a good trip with family. The cab driver was polite throughout. But we faced a few issues: the hotel was under construction, breakfast and dinner options were limited compared to a buffet, and room cleanliness was a problem.All Seasons staff Shivam was courteous and arranged alternate hotel nearby which was good
